This Privacy Policy governs and explains how DACON uses Personal Information that Customers provide. In this Privacy Policy, references to “we,” “our” and “us” refer to DACON, while “you” and “your” refer to the Customer.

  1. SCOPE OF AGREEMENT, ACCEPTANCE AND CHANGES
    1.1 What does this policy apply to? This privacy policy applies to all of the Products and Services and the internet Website (http://www.pharmazie.com and all sub domains) offered by DACON GmbH. “Products and Services” means the software(s) and services you use according to our Terms of Service or any other valid agreement between you and DACON.
    1.2 Where can you find the Terms of Service? Terms of Service can be found on our Website, https://go.pharmazie.com.com/legal/terms-of-use/
    1.3 What is Personal Information? Personal Information means any information that identifies you or can be used to identify you.
    1.4 How do you accept this Privacy Policy? By using or accessing the services. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy in its entirety, do not use the Products or Services.
    1.5 When does this policy become effective? This policy automatically becomes effective on the date stated at the head of this document unless you opt out by stopping usage of our Products and Services.
    1.6 Can DACON change these terms after you have accepted them? Yes. DACON may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will notify you through the service interface, via email, or by other reasonable means. You can always find the current Privacy Policy on our Website. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using the service and cancel any paid subscriptions. If you do not cancel your service, the new terms will apply to you.
  2. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
    2.1 Why does DACON ask for Personal Information? You can use much of our Website without providing any Personal Information. DACON will ask for Personal Information when you register for an account, participate in surveys, questionnaires or contests, download trials or demonstrations, subscribe to newsletters or email alerts or participate in community forums.
    2.2 What kinds of information will DACON request? DACON may request Personal Information such as your name, username, mailing address, country of residence, e-mail address, employer, job title and department, and telephone and facsimile numbers. When ordering Products and Services via the Website, you may be asked to provide a credit card number and billing and shipping information. We only ask for information that is relevant to the services we provide.
    2.3 What if you were invited to view documents? Does DACON collect your information? If you have been sent a request to view a document by an account holder, DACON will have your email address on file, but will not use it for marketing or any purpose other than the invitation to view the document unless you subsequently sign up as an account holder.
    2.4 Does DACON track and use aggregate information from the Website? Yes, but not Personal Information. That is, DACON may track aggregate information about our Website such as the total number of visitors, the number of visitors to each page of the Website, IP addresses, and links from our Website to external websites. DACON may analyze this data for trends and statistics in the aggregate. DACON may also share this aggregate information with third parties for marketing purposes. However, aggregate information will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not identify you personally.
    2.5 Does DACON collect and use children’s information? No. DACON does not knowingly collect any Personal Information from anyone under 13 years old. DACON recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. The Website and the Products and Services are intended for adult audiences only.
    2.6 What if you choose not to provide Personal Information? Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity. Similarly, if you delete mandatory Personal Information, you will no longer be able to engage in that particular activity.
    2.7 How does DACON use your Personal Information?
    2.7.1 In General: We may use your Personal Information to deliver Products and Services or information that you have requested, to verify your authority to enter certain password protected areas of the Website, to send you notices for products and/or services that you have used or that may be of interest to you (if you have opted in to receive such notices) and to improve the content and general administration of the Website.
    2.7.2 Error Reports: If you choose to transmit an Error Report to DACON, we may collect Personal Information that is included in the Error Report that you provide to us. We will use that Personal Information only to troubleshoot problems and errors and to prevent similar errors. Except as stated in this Privacy Policy, we will not further use or nor will we disclose any Personal Information included in these Error Reports.
    2.7.3 Public Spaces: DACON hosts several “Community Spaces” including public bulletin boards, blogs, forums, community help sites, wikis, and other similar spaces. All information you provide on a Community Space, including your email address, is public information and may be used for any purpose. If you do not wish for your Personal Information to become public, do not participate in the Community Spaces.
    2.8 Does DACON use cookies, web beacons or similar devices? Yes.
    2.8.1 Why? In order to improve the Products and Services and the Website and provide more convenient, relevant experiences to our customers, we and our vendors may use “cookies”, “web beacons”, and similar devices to track user-initiated events and activities.
    2.8.2 How do you opt out of these devices? You may disable “cookies” through your web browser, but some of our Website may not work properly if you do so.
    2.8.3 What do these devices collect? We use “cookies” to track aggregate information about use of our Website, but not Personal Information except as detailed in this Privacy Policy.
    2.8.4 Persistent Cookies. If you expressly consent for the Website or the Products and Services to “remember” your unique registration identifier, that identifier will be stored on a persistent cookie on your computer and it will be linked to your registration information. As a result, your navigation path around the Website and the Products and Services will be tracked in identifiable form.
  3. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
    DACON may disclose your Personal Information and aggregate information only in the following circumstances:
    3.1 Marketing. DACON may disclose your Personal Information to our resellers and distributors for the exclusive purpose of providing you with marketing, sales and support for DACON products and other products offered by our parent company, DACON Datenbank Consulting GmbH.
    3.2 Third Party Services. DACON may disclose your Personal Information to third party service providers such as payment processing or diagnosing errors, but only if the third party has agreed to a written confidentiality agreement that is at least as protective of your Personal Information as this Privacy Policy.
    3.3 Required by law. DACON may disclose your Personal Information if we reasonably believe that we are required to by law, regulation or other government authority; or
    3.4 Merger or Acquisition. DACON may disclose your Personal Information to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation or other corporate reorganization or to a purchaser of all or substantially all of DACON’s assets to which this Website relates.
  4. PROTECTION OF DATA AND PERSONAL INFORMATION.
    We employ reasonable procedural and technological measures to protect your privacy from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, consistent with industry practice. These measures may include encryption, secure socket layer, firewalls, internal restrictions, password protection and others.
    4.1 Technology: DACON uses 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for collection of your Personal Information, Content and data uploaded and downloaded. The safeguards used by DACON may include firewalls and data encryption.
    4.2 Location of data: DACON stores and processes your Personal Information and data on its computers located in the premises controlled by itself or by its service providers, wherever they may be, and is protected by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. DACON enforces physical access controls to its buildings, installations and files and only those of its employees are authorized to have access to Personal Information, data and Content who are bound by similar obligations of confidentiality as contained herein and their terms of employment.
    4.3 Credit Card Information: DACON does not collect or retain credit card information provided by you i.e. bank details, credit card number, credit card expiry date and verification number. Such information is collected by DACON’s credit card payment processing vendor. To protect user’s information, DACON’s credit card processing vendor also uses the latest 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for secure transactions. DACON’s vendor is certified as compliant with card association security initiatives including Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) standards for data protection.
    4.4 Account Sign In and Sign Out. You can access your user account by signing in with your username and password. You must sign out from your account to prevent access by unauthorized users.
    To help you protect you, you will be automatically signed out of your user account automatically if it is inactive for a continuous period of 30 minutes. Nevertheless, DACON shall not be held responsible for unauthorized access to your user account by a third party due to any act and/or omission on your part.
    4.5 User Name and Password: Keep your user name and password secure and do not disclose it to any third party. Keeping in view Personal Information and other data, DACON does not re-send forgotten passwords to its users. Account passwords are encrypted and are not visible to DACON. In case you forget your password, please follow the instructions available on the Website and DACON will re-set your password.
    In case due to any act or omission on your part a third party gains unauthorized access to your account, you yourself will be solely responsible for any loss caused by such unauthorized use.
  5. GENERAL MATTERS
    5.1 The Website has Links to third party sites – does DACON endorse them? No. Our Website may provide links to external websites that are not governed or controlled by DACON or our affiliates; however, these links do not constitute an endorsement by DACON. We provide these links to you only as a convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
    5.2 What law does DACON follow? This Privacy Policy is governed by and shall be interpreted under the laws of the local site of DACON Bad Vilbel, Germany.

You may review, correct and delete any of the Personal Information that you have provided to DACON by contacting us at dacon(at)Pharmazie.com.
