E-Learning Section for this Database
With the GERMAN Drug Dictionary ROTE LISTE®, medical-pharmaceutical experts such as physicians, pharmacists, clinics, nursing staff, pharmaceutical-technical assistants receive brief information on human finished medicinal products available in Germany and certain medical devices including EU approvals. These data are compiled from available specialist, use and product information. In order to be included and published in the RED LISTE®, the pharmaceutical company must register its product or products accordingly. If the company misses this registration, the product is not mentioned. The RED LISTE® can be considered a reliable source because it is listed by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as a “trusted source” for drug information in Germany.
By licensing the German Drug Dictionary ROTE LISTE® is available in various databases, including via [pharmazie.com].
The ROTE LISTE® contains different amounts of medication from year to year. There are drug entries with information on the dosage form as well as prices from numerous pharmaceutical companies, ATC code and pack sizes as well as numerous other categories. It provides information on which dosage forms are subject to prescription, which are subject to the Narcotics Act (BtMG), which are pharmacy-only and which may also be distributed outside pharmacies. The finished medicinal products are subdivided into 88 indication and active substance groups (main groups). For their part, these are subdivided into subgroups of functionally similar drugs for reasons of better comparability. The listed finished medicinal products are divided into chemically defined preparations, preparations of plant origin, enzyme-, organ- and microorganism-containing preparations as well as homeopathic remedies. The ROTE LISTE® lists finished medicinal products contain about 1,900 different medicinally active substances.
The entry in the Rote Liste® is voluntary for pharmaceutical companies. The entries are subject to a charge and are based on the amount of the costs according to the amount of the entry. The Rote Liste® is a comprehensive but not exhaustive list.
The work is published and published annually in printed form and biannually as an electronic data collection by Rote Liste Service GmbH. Since 2006, the ROTE LISTE® has been issued by ROTE LISTE Service GmbH, a subsidiary of the Federal Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (BPI) and the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (vfa). The products of the ROTE LISTE® Service GmbH also include the FachInfo-Service® as well as the PatientInfo-Service®, which offers barrier-free access to user information.
